nPoint's C-300 series controller is a DSP based digital control system providing closed-loop operation for up to three channels. It combines an integral capacitive position sensor, power amplifier for PZT drive and advanced control algorithms to achieve highly accurate nanopositioning and high speed scanning. nPoint control algorithms allow the system to accurately reach and maintain a setpoint by adjusting the control output based on feedback from the position sensors. Such closed-loop control removes positioning errors caused by hysteresis and non-linearity in the piezo actuators and mechanical systems.

Control parameters, such as speed of response, are user configurable using the provided PC software. This ensures that the positioning system is optimized for any given application. Advanced control algorithms developed at nPoint significantly enhance the dynamic performance of the nanopositioning system to better match specific applications.
