Senior Electronics Engineer
Continued growth has resulted in our need to expand our engineering team. This is a senior level position for the design of motion controllers for piezo actuated nano-positioners being developed by nPoint. The primary responsibility of this position will be the design of new controller electronics with an emphasis on digital signal processing and data acquisition. The responsibilities will cover a range of engineering work including specification assessment, hardware and firmware design, and verification testing.
Tasking will include schematic entry, designing prototype circuit boards, testing of prototypes, integrating boards into systems, working with software engineers on the design of controls, and support during field testing.
Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
Essential Skills
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years experience in both analog and digital electronics design with emphasis on high-resolution, high-accuracy, low noise data acquisition.
- Perform circuit simulations (Pspice).
- Familiarity with schematic capture tools.
- Ability to manage a project, including scheduling, cost estimates, and tracking project details.
- Familiarity with DSP hardware and firmware design is a plus.
- Familiarity with control systems is a plus.
- Experience with Matlab and Simulink is a plus.
Assembly Technician
Responsibilities include inspection of incoming parts, cabling assembly, assembly of electro-mechanical product to specification using epoxy, soldering iron, hand tools, assembly of electronic equipment, including PCAs.
Maintenance and updating of manufacturing documentation. Other responsibilities include maintainence of assembly documentation and participation in product design review processes to ensure assembly efficiency.

- Soldering experience
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with electronic testing equipment including:
- function generators
- oscilloscopes
- multimeters
- Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
